ooh that's what it is! I was confused at what I had drawn in the background when we first see Steve, haha. I think it's supposed to be a plant in a suspended pot, and its round little leaves are hangin' there. 

Oh and I did NOT like how I drew Allan's beard in that first strip, it did not look like anything :D (thankfully I did a better job of it in later strips)
