Aha, I like the flow of the first strip. Feels all natural(ly awkward) before the mom hits Lillian with her "female lover" bit. 

And look at me, going all in and committing to that scarf pattern details or whatever, I probably enjoyed drawing those little squigglies too, they're the kinds of pattern you can draw without really thinking about it and then you look at the result and it looks good and you're like "hell yeah."

And last panel, Lillian totally has the tiniest smirk on her shocked face.
