Watch was inspired by a friend of mine who had the "bubble boy disease", or in more scientific terms, "severe combined immunodeficiency". It was the wildest encounter I ever had, in terms of stories told and experiences had, and not just that... just the way this person was. How, excluded from all society from the start, they saw the world and interacted with it. How beautiful everything seemed to be for them, how curious they were to just live things.

We could meet strangers through trips and those strangers would immediately fall in love with this being who seemed to be radiating so much tenderness and openness. I remember the head pats they used to do in such a loving way. You'd just melt in their hands ruffling your hair, haha.

I miss them, so very much.
