Chapter 2 begins!
Roomie troubles: forgetting things at ladies' houses so she can't pay for beers. D: D: D: oh noooo what shall she dooo
I remember that first strip there was the first time we saw a bit of a... self-conscious Roomie? Some people were a bit surprised by that, if I remember correctly.
And the second strip, ho boy would I not be okay with this situation now :D back then it was very okay, and a regular thing amongst my friends and I, to get the other into drinking, or asking "oh you don't want a beer, are you sick??" lollol etc etc... things that now, after many years of working on oneself on my own relationship with alcohol, would not appreciate at all.
When a friend doesn't want alcohol at a bar, or at a party, I want to make sure they feel respected for their choice, and never put into question. That's how I'd like others to treat me, so it's only fair to treat others with the same respect :)
Oh and I've just noticed how both strips above show two very different ways of drawing shelves of glasses behind Jo there, haha. I can see myself drawing that second strip going like "ugh I am NOT drawing all those glasses by hand again screw that" and find a way to do it in photoshop instead (but did it really take less time to do so, I wonder?)
