That is indeed what people do, nothing to hide there!
I'd just like to take little tiny moment to criticize my background drawing if you'll let me :D
I mean, in the second strip it's so bare bones that it's not clear (at least to me) that the mom's going from inside the house (which is only represented by a hanging curtain of some kind) to looking outside from the doorway (poor doorway's never had its true potential used, always without its doorknob and with barely any frame to make it seem like a real door). Could've at least pretended like there were bricks on the wall to make it seem like a house wall from outside but nope.
But I like the Roomie close-up. Even without a proper background. Made that panel into a business card once!
