I like the dialogue between Kris and Roomie, I feel like I could've let them talk a bit more on the subject, would've been nice. 

Same as Roomie, back then I went for "regular" bars over specifically gay ones (not that Jo's bar is very "regular"..) Too much drama and competition and hunts for soul mates (or fuck pals) that made it less "light" of an evening to go and have a drink at. But that's my experience from back then, and I rarely went to check lesbian bars out, so of course there's a lot I could miss out on!
