Evelyne does mean it. She's very much in love with Allan, and admires many sides of him. There was a lot of potential for us to explore more of her vulnerabilities and insecurities. I went to explore some but not all. I feel like someone like Eve has a lot to unpack. A lot to let go, in terms of wanting to control everything around her.

Steve was more of a symbolic character. What I mean by that is, I don't think I've written him as much more than a good friend and lover that has his personality but not showing much of his background and weaknesses at all. Apart from he went into the army once and likes to flirt with any and all. Though, thinking about it, we do see just a bit of his vulnerability in a later chapter...

And Richard, well Richard's Richard isn't he? Our favorite adorable little creep.
