First strip was me at the same "trans for dummies" conference. I was like, yuh-huh, gender and sex isn't the same, sure sure, and then Max (from Genres Pluriels, a known trans-positive organization in Brussels) wrote the "gender expression" on top of that chart and I was like buuuuhh??
I finally came to understand that yes, some people might identify as a specific gender, but might dress differently than what that gender typically shows in its dressing code.
A trans-masculine person could identify as a guy and use the "he/him" pronouns, for example, but still have times when he want to dress in feminine clothes.
Which now I'm like... well yeah. A cis guy dressing more femininely is great to see, and yet he remains a guy because that's the gender he identifies with. So why wouldn't a trans guy do so as well?
Same goes with all the other gender/gender expressions associations!
