Seeing that last panel now, I would've either edited the sentence "Please tell me that thing is part of me too" to "Please tell me that shadow is part of me too" OR I would've made that shadow creature much more visible. Right now as it stands, I feel that panel is confusing for the readers as is. What's the wolf talking about exactly?

Next page will thankfully clear a bit of that up!

And yes, I love the multiple symbols and metaphors around trees ( I love trees PERIOD ): how it reaches for the sky and yet roots itself to the earth speaks to me, especially these days. How do I continue reaching for the best of my potential and continue imagining stories and dreaming on, while still staying grounded to this earth we live in today, this world we interact with daily, and accept it totally for my home? Hard to, these days... stories seem to be more reassuring. But I don't think I'll ever reach my full potential without accepting these roots either, and seeing how rich the soil is and how nourishing it can be. And keep on growing.

Oh and the tree parallel is also in the original tale of "the Knight in Rusty Armor", I've done my best to put my own spin to it but the vibe's the same!
