Roomie's opening up and it's not easy!! After years and years of closing up certain parts of herself (and opening others ahem), it's a difficult thing to really trust and express certain emotions.

For Roomie (similarly to her creator), the Bad (tm) expressions to avoid feeling are despair and anger, and little bits of the inbetweens. But emotions can't be controlled! And so if you feel deep sadness then blocking it off won't make it go away, and if you feel anger then ignoring it won't make it disappear, on the contrary. 

And it's easy for someone like Roomie to ignore these things: she can easily divert the attention to something else! Ooh, shiny look at that! Ooh boobies, yay!

So yes, Roomie opening up to Lillian is definitely one hell of a step and has been a journey for her :)
