What can I add to this? It represents how important Roomie is, and was, to Lillian. And how slowly but surely, it allowed her to fill in the emptiness, that were filled up with dreams and stories which were absolutely beautiful and are crucial to Lillian's life and will forever be, thank god for her imagination, it saved her from many things... but Roomie's arrival put a yang in her yin (no double-entendre intended), and told her "you have so much to share with me, with the world, and it's all too precious for you to stay in bed forever". 

And that goes for anyone who's feeling sleepy these days.
