Allan most probably had his computer at the house that Lillian could use if she really needed it, but never bought one of her own. And when Allan moved out, well...

Seems weird to us nowadays, doesn't it? Someone without a computer. Or a smartphone. I swear it's possible, though. Some friends of mine are even getting themselves old "crappy" phones instead of smartphones because it's starting to be too much for them. And I very much understand that feeling.

Anyway, let's get back to Roomie and Lillian who have NOTHING to get on the internet with and that's a bit problematic. I mean, Lillian has fanfictions to post gosh darn it! It's a life or death situation!
