woaaaah, Roomie knocked instead of using the keys to barge in! Or wait, that was just to make it a mystery as to whether she threw the keys away or not in last strip. ...but still! And she realized she made decisions behind Lillian's back! Character development! (??)
*pats myself on the back* it's okay chlove, the development's coming, don't worry.
Ah, I asked last strip what you wanted for me to talk about in these commentaries but since I write these one week in advance, I don't yet know if you've answered anything :D I'll keep those subjects for next week!
Until then... self-critique art-wise: I have a hard time understanding how to hair sometimes. Sure, it's stylized and cartoonified enough where it might not be obvious where the awkwardness lies, but I can see the awkwardness very well from here :D Lillian's especially is a mass of tangled unknown gooey material of some sort, and Roomie's hair... OH WOW I just realized how her hair bangs are drawn here!!! They come down in front of the ears instead of behind them like in the later comics! When did I make the change and did I realize I did when I did?
Anyway, knowing in what direction hair grows&flows and looking at reference helps if you ever want to draw a characters' hair :D
And it's fine to make mistakes, they're meant to help you improve :)
--> This is a rerun of the finished webcomic Go Get a Roomie! You can find these two strips in the old archive >here<!
