And that's when I could finally say: "see? I totally planned it all out from the beginning, how Matt and Lillian never were at Jo's bar at the same time, how they kept missing each other. It's all part of the drama I totally, undeniably, had in my head from the very start."

and you can go "but Clover, are you sure it wasn't just a coincidence? That they didn't see each other at Jo's, and that only much later on in the comic you thought "oh hey they could know each other but don't know they live in the same area""

and I would go "How dare you question my brain power"

and then I'd go silent for a while and go "..... yeah."
