Yes, it may seem far-fetched and cliché to have someone smoke weed and suddenly have visions of all sorts (I know I've fallen into the trap of stereotypes a few times in my comics). But it was a real experience I've had back then as well. I know I've talked about it before, but I'll explain it again:
There was no vision, no voices speaking, just an intense feeling. A feeling that this tree was communicating these things with me. I still remember this as a precious memory, because that "whatever humans do, I'll always love them" makes so much sense to me, and speaks of so much unconditional love that I hold it dear in my doki doki hippie heart of mine.
Esoterism apart, awww, Roomie's face in that last panel is so cute :D
To me, that's the first glimpse of a Roomie who might be looking for something else than everything she's been living so far. She's not unhappy with her current style of life, but maybe isn't against a little change when the time's right.
But that's my interpretation :)
--> This is a rerun of the finished webcomic Go Get a Roomie! You can find these two strips in the old archive >here<!
